The certifications and standards that safety cabinets need to comply with include the following:
1:CE
2: OSHA
3:EN 14470-1
CE is a safety certification , which is regarded as a passport for manufacturers to open and enter the European market. CE stands for European Unity (CONFORMITE EUROPEENNE). The CE mark on the product indicates that it complies with the basic requirements of the EU new approach directives and does not need to comply with the requirements of each country, thus realizing the free circulation of goods within the EU member states. The basic requirements in the directive refer to: public safety, health, environmental protection and protection of consumers. Among the products currently circulating in the EU unified market, more than 70% of the products have been included in the list of products that must be affixed with the CE mark, otherwise they are not allowed to enter the market. CE mark certification is a certification for specific products, focusing on the safety characteristics of the product. It is a compliance certification that reflects the product's requirements for public safety, health, environment and personal safety.
EN 14470-1 was established in Europe in April 2004. It is a safety standard for storing chemicals, mainly requiring detailed production of safety cabinets. Most people in China know about FM safety certification, but few know about the EN 14470-1 standard. In fact, the EN 14470-1 standard is much higher than the FM standard. The EN 14470-1 standard includes three main basic safety requirements: reducing fires caused by chemicals stored in safety cabinets, and improving the protection of these materials in the event of a fire. The latter also sets a fire resistance time (FR, unit: minutes). Reduce the emission of chemical gases into the environment. Keep the leakage of chemical gases in the cabinet. EN14470-1 includes 4 fire resistance categories. The fire resistance time of safety cabinets is divided into four levels: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes to meet the different needs of EU member states.
OSHA standards, namely occupational safety and health standards, currently have no unified international norms in this field. With the continuous progress of society, people are paying more and more attention to their own safety and health issues, especially occupational safety and health, which has prompted countries to compete to establish occupational safety and health standards suitable for their national conditions. The most representative of these is the OSHA standard issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the United States. The US OSHA standard is an occupational safety and health standard implemented within the scope of the US judicial power management. Its rich safety and health cultural content, rigorous safety management philosophy and scientific and economical safety management methods have not only been highly recognized by various industries in the US society, but also widely respected by the world, especially in the field of international engineering construction.
