1: According to the purpose, it can be divided into the following two categories
(1) General-purpose special containers, also known as dry cargo containers or general cargo containers, refer to fully enclosed containers with rigid top, side walls, end walls and bottom, and a door on at least one end wall. General-purpose containers are suitable for transporting most general goods.
(2) Special-purpose containers refer to general or cargo containers with a common structure for the convenience of loading and unloading goods without end doors, or for special purposes such as ventilation, including ventilated containers, open-top containers, platform containers and channel containers.
2: According to different structures, it is divided into the following 4 types
(1) Inner column type special container
Its side columns or end columns are located inside the side walls or end walls. The advantages are that the surface is smooth, not easily damaged by oblique external forces, and it is relatively convenient to print logos. There is a space between the outer plate and the inner lining plate, so the heat protection effect is good and the moisture loss rate of the goods can be reduced. When repairing and replacing the outer plate, the box lining does not need to be removed.
(2) Outer column type special container
Its side columns or end columns are outside the side walls or end walls, so when subjected to external forces, the outer plate is not easily damaged, and sometimes the inner lining plate can be omitted.
(3) Folding special container
Its main components (side walls, end walls and box top) can be easily folded or disassembled. When used again, it can be easily reassembled. The advantage is that the volume of the box can be reduced during collection and storage, improving the economic effect of transportation. However, since the main components are connected by hinges, their strength is affected.
(4) Thin-shell special container
Different from the general special container structure (the frame bears the load, and the outer plate of the box is riveted or welded to the frame), all the parts form a rigid body, similar to the aircraft structure. The advantage is that it is light in weight and its whole body can withstand the torque without causing permanent deformation, but the process requirements are high.
